2018 Reprint of 1947 Second Edition. Full facsimile of the original edition, not reproduced with Optical Recognition software. Profusely illustrated with diagrams by Howard W. Wookey. Complete in itself, this volume originated as a commentary and expansion of Manly P. Hall's masterpiece of symbolic philosophy, The Secret Teachings of All Ages. In Lectures on Ancient Philosophy, Manly P. Hall expands on the philosophical, metaphysical, and cosmological themes introduced in his classic work, The Secret Teachings of All Ages. Hall wrote this volume as a reader's companion to his earlier work, intending it for those wishing to delve more deeply into the esoteric philosophies and ideas that animated the Secret Teachings. In this edition particular attention is paid to Neoplatonism, ancient Christianity, Rosicrucian and Freemasonic traditions, ancient mysteries, pagan rites and symbols, and Pythagorean mathematics.
In 1919, a Canadian teenager with a sixth-grade education arrived by train to the wilds of Los Angeles. Within a decade he had transformed himself into a world-renowned luminary and occult scholar. His name was Manly Palmer Hall, author of the landmark encyclopedia The Secret Teachings of All Ages and the 20th century's most prolific writer and speaker on ancient philosophies, mysticism, and magic. Hall revealed to thousands how universal wisdom could be found in the myths and symbols of the ancient Western mystery teachings. He amassed the largest occult library west of the Mississippi and founded The Philosophical Research Society in 1934 for the purpose of providing seekers rare access to the world's wisdom literature. He became a confidante and friend to celebrities and politicians. In 1990, he died - some say he was killed - in what remains an open-ended Hollywood murder mystery. This dramatic story of Hall's life and death provides a panorama of twentieth century mysticism and an insider's view into a subculture that continues to have a profound influence on movies, television, music, books, art, and thought.

Does your sign mean you're unselfish, aggressive, eccentric or "hopelessly confused?" Famous author and champion of astrology Manly Palmer Hall explores the psychological foundations of the zodiac. First published in 1937.
Originally published in 1926, this short book focused on the symbolism surrounding the ancient patriarch Melchizedek serves as a concise introduction to important imperceptible truths. “The elaborate rituals of the ancient Mysteries and the simpler ceremonials of modern religious institutions had a common purpose. Both were designed to preserve, by means of symbolic dramas and processionals, certain secret and holy processes, by the understanding of which man may more intelligently work out his salvation. The pages which follow will be devoted to an interpretation of some of these allegories according to the doctrine of the ancient seers and sages.”

2009 reprint of 1932 First edition. Manly Palmer Hall (1901-1990) was a Canadian-born author and mystic. He is perhaps most famous for his work The Secret Teachings of All Ages: An Encyclopedic Outline of Masonic, Hermetic, Qabbalistic and Rosicrucian Symbolical Philosophy, published in 1928 when he was 27 years old. In 1934, Hall founded the Philosophical Research Society (PRS) in Los Angeles, California, dedicating it to an idealistic approach to the solution of human problems. The PRS claims to be non-sectarian and entirely free from educational, political, or ecclesiastical control, and the Society's programs stress the need for the integration of philosophy, religion, and science into one system of instruction. The PRS Library, a public facility devoted to source materials in obscure fields, has many rare and scarce items now impossible to obtain elsewhere. In his over 70-year career, Hall delivered approximately 8,000 lectures in the United States and abroad, authored over 150 books and essays, and wrote countless magazine articles.

For millennia, the human race has been controlled and manipulated by forces beyond our own dimension or awareness. A carefully managed human/extra-dimensional breeding program has produced a hybrid slave race that isn't aware of its true origins or fate. Few know that these shadow puppeteers are actually in control-or that they even exist. They are not human ... but then again, neither are we. As the epic battle of consciousness expands into the outer dimensions, we know that one thing is for certain: When the Liberty Bell rings once again, their empire will be reduced to a heap of ashes. There will be an army of forces, backed by the highest of forces in the heavens, which will conduct this re-awakening of the masses. This story recounts the takeover of planet Earth by the Snake of Zion and shares everything you need to know to be truly free. The battleground is within each of us, and our captors are but a reflection of humanity. Unless we change ourselves, how will the reflection be changed? Hopefully, after this enduring encounter deep into the rabbit hole, you will realize how this reality has been manipulated by forces in the fourth dimension. In order to succeed, we must propel ourselves through the heart chakra and into the fifth dimension, where the beloved Terra will find the peace and dignity that she deserves. The fate of the world hangs in the balance. All we have to do now is make a choice.
This collection of fantasy fiction was written in Mr. Hall's youth. He has used Oriental folklore as an entertaining vehicle for portraying some of the occult mysteries of life. J. Augustus Knapp, illustrator for Mr. Hall's classic, The Secret Teachings of All Ages, prepared special pictures for each story.
