Pure loving ALWAYS begins with self-loving! is one of the credos Bernadette is living in her own life. For THE LOVE foundation of Harold W. Becker, where she is an ambassador, she wrote the book out of her heart with many practical hands-on tips and exercise for re-discovering and re-defining what love might be for every single individual - beginning from inside|out! What love has to do with how you live, think, feeling can be explored in this little book!
With the unique poems and comments/manifestos of this book, you will travel among loves, feelings, excitements and mixed sensations of lovers who you have seen, witnessed or heard around you or different parts of the world. Poems/comments will also be a translator of your feelings and thoughts.
In a material, dog-eat-dog world where pain and suffering exist and where only the fittest survive, how and why did selfless love appear? How did love become one of the most basic necessities of human life? What exactly is love anyway? Is the existence—and necessity—of selfless love evidence that we really were created in the image of a loving God? What if love was God’s fingerprint on our world and in our lives? What if love was the proof that he was here and that he made us to love and be loved?
"Life's Greatest Treasures are Found in Things to Forgive. What a Rich Man I Have Found Myself to Be." Such is the realized Joy of the author as he has chosen to look back at an often troubled life from early childhood through late adulthood. He chose to try to look at his life through Eyes of Compassion, Forgiveness and Love, believing such eyes could see his life framed only within those qualities. Secure in his sense that all persons, experiences and circumstances could and would be forgiven and embraced with love, he surrendered to letting his entire life flow into his conscious awareness, "bad" times as well as "good" ones. The author began to see Things to Forgive as treasures filling a wondrous Forgiveness Treasure Chest. Even the most severe of early life difficulties were allowed to flow into that "chest" to be embraced with forgiveness and love. The author found his own self in that Forgiveness Treasure Chest, the greatest treasure of all to be embraced with forgiveness and love.
In today's frenetic society, people rarely develop intimate friendships. Instead, they spend their lives essentially disconnected from others, rushing through life content with brief visits and casual conversations. But what if one were to develop a community, a spiritual community, of people who walked with and supported each other through life's journey? A community of real friends who listened to each other's personal tragedies without merely trying to fix the problems, who encouraged and nurtured each other's strengths, and who accepted people for who they really are, instead of the image they try to portray. In The Safest Place on Earth, Larry Crabb explores such a place, where God can heal disconnected people and allow them to reconnect with each other and, ultimately, with Him.
God's Fingerprints seeks to show why Christianity is the only rational faith system appropriate to the universe we inhabit. The super-person of God the Holy Trinity alone will suffice. Starting from scientific tools that we all may use, and constraints to which we all are subject, God's Fingerprints moves to the very simple evidence of everyone's experience, arriving at the question of our origins, possible religious and philosophical views we may adopt, and the central questions of truth and morals.
A fingerprint is often a spiral pattern that starts from the center and widens out. The writing structure of Fingerprints of God as written by Jackie Starbuck Denison is similar to the structure of a physical fingerprint. The book centers on God and strengthening one's spiritual point of view through growth. Through stories, Jackie teaches us how to stay focused, yet widen out and share our talents and the gospel. Jackie also shares methods to strengthen our connection to Jesus. These methods include the value of increasing your devotion to prayer and being sensitive to the need to pray for others. She provides the grounding instruction when handed a prophecy puzzle to know, listen, and obey. I am blessed to be Jackie's cousin and to have the opportunity to review this book. Throughout the process, I have become more focused and will try to live my life in a way that nothing gets bigger than my awareness of God's presence in and on my life. (JJ Powell)
Much of our suffering today is because we have lost touch with the human experience, and we are disconnected and in grave danger of crossing the point of no return. So we have a choice: to reconnect with love, faith, and the beauty of the word, or to remain disconnected and only interested in our own material overindulgences. In Meditations for ActionYour Full Expression with Love, author Tim Guthrie offers us a way to choose love through a collection of teachings drawn from his own wisdom and from what he could only describe as his frequent and spontaneous discussions with God. Regardless of what form the source of these messages may takeGod, or something else entirely for youthe message is abundantly clear: we have allowed the human experience to run out of control, and we are suffering for itas is the planet. Many of the teachings may seem harsh and demanding, but they ultimately shine a light on the types of lives we should be leading. We find ourselves in a position of suffering because our love of the truth is coming in a distant second place to our love for ourselves. But if we stand up for what is right with a fire that burns in our bellies, then we can discover the peace and serenity of love and freedom that will flood our hearts.

Can Ellie carve out a life for herself or will she succumb to the Fingerprint of Destiny? Editorial Reviews Review Reviewed by Lit Amri for Readers' Favorite In The Fingerprint of Destiny, Elena Borgias Sinclair is a struggling reporter and editor of The Hope's Point Gazette, a small-town newspaper. A series of landmark homes are destroyed by fire and the community believes that the Latino immigrants are the culprits. It is supposed to be just another arson and a story for Ellie to cover. Everything changes when she finds out that her estranged mother, Hortensia Borgias Sinclair, is one of the latest victims. It might be a destined fate as her mother often claimed, but Ellie suspects that there must be something more to it; something more sinister. She must find out who is the real arsonist and their reason for the crime. This gripping mystery tale is written by Laura Schofer. The Fingerprint of Destiny is a fascinating mystery with a protagonist who I couldn't get enough of. Author Laura Schofer has certainly got me intrigued with her story. While mystery fiction sometimes has a tendency to lose steam, it is definitely not the case here. Schofer's inside knowledge of journalism and the setting serves her well, and her skill in crafting page-turning scenarios also helps. She doesn't beat around the bush, thus making The Fingerprint of Destiny very well paced. Her no-frills prose lends itself well to this flawless tale because she just gets down to business without excessively long pauses while the characters examine their motives or engage in some pace-killing reflection. Overall, this is a marvelous read that kept me guessing and entertained until the very end. From the Author OnlineBookClub.org review written by HOLDONThere Elena Sinclair has a good nose. Yes, she's a reporter for a small-town newspaper on Long Island. But she doesn't just have a nose for news, she can actually smell emotion. And sometimes danger. Many scenes in The Fingerprint of Destiny mention smells. In the opening scene of the book, Elena approaches a house fire and can smell the fire (of course), but also "human scents of scorched old clothing and furniture and the fetid smell of something dead, rotten." Later, at a funeral, "the lobby smelled of aftershave and perfume, of soap and water and something else. ... It was relief, perhaps even joy. Death had passed them by." I mention this not because Elena's sense of smell is particularly important to the plot, but because it can give you a sense of how the book is written. Laura Schofer, the author, builds a scene with concrete details, and these blend smoothly into a revelation of the emotional and even spiritual dynamics at work in the scene ... which in turn move the plot. This blending of concrete and spiritual characterizes the book as a whole. The Fingerprint of Destiny is a book with two faces. One face is that of a typical fast-paced mystery / crime drama involving a hard-boiled detective (or, in this case, newspaper woman) who chases down the story, while running from the bad guys, all the while fueled by a substance addiction because she's near the end of her rope. I've read quite a few of those, and Fingerprint is a really well-done addition to the genre. The other face of Fingerprint is that of an epic tale of that follows generations of strong but ill-fated Latina women, weaving in all kinds of horror, mysticism, superstition, magic and madness. I'm not sure what to call this, but maybe it belongs in the "magical realism" genre. Anyway, I enjoyed those parts very much as well. The fact that Elena is haunted by her grandmothers' tragic history adds an emotional depth to the book that goes beyond many crime dramas. Nor is it stuck on awkwardly. The history of Elena, her mother, and her mother's mothers in Venezuela is woven together masterfully with the contemporary mystery unfolding in Long Island. The writing about Venezuelan culture seems authentic. Schofer, a Latina herself just like her main character, does a great job with the language aspect as well. You don't need to understand Spanish to read this book, but if you do happen to speak it, you'll enjoy the few lines of poetry from Cesar Vallejo that a character quotes (then immediately translates), and the few other phrases that get thrown in. Also, when Venezuelan characters speak English, the phrases and grammar sound like those that a Spanish speaker would choose. Very well done. I do have one problem with the book; namely, I thought that Schofer tipped her hand much too obviously about who the villain was going to turn out to be. I don't think this was intentional, but in my case, it happened to tip me off, so I did not get to enjoy the shock of "No! Really? It couldn't be!" that we are meant to experience in the final scenes of such a book. However, just because I figured out who the villain was, did NOT mean that I immediately understood everything that was going on. The book still held some questions, mysteries, and surprises. I give the book four out of four stars.
To a blind person, human touch is essential. In the absence of facial expressions, it reassures and comforts. But can you still feel the warm and soothing touch of an unseen God? Author and musician Jennifer Rothschild, who lost her vision at the age of fifteen, explains how God's touch works from the inside out, warming the heart, mind, and soul. It lifts weights that eyes could never see. It washes away the anguish of guilt, the bite of fear, and the ache of loneliness. As long as worldly love continues to be considered our means of salvation, we will forever experience war, greed, hunger, disease, homelessness, and every other form of pain and suffering that the dream can create. This book is not about vastly improving worldly love into something newer, better, and bigger. That strategy has gone on for centuries, yet world peace has never been achieved. This book is one soul’s humble yet dedicated attempt to truly connect with those who will listen, and inspire them to stop and hear the magnificence of their heart; and to put aside the ego’s insane influence and ask one simple question: “What has my strong allegiance to the illusions of this world truly created in my life?”
Dr. Steven Mallory, a world renowned geneticist, embarks on a spiritual and scientific quest to discover the true meaning of God, existence, and the genetic code. In the process, he discovers the truth about love, the universe, and his spiritual destiny.
‘Yesterday‘ has a bigger influence on us than we might want to admit. It is not only our childhood, but also our other life- and relationship-experiences that contribute to the fact that we perceive the world through a certain type of lens. Everyone is re-living a past emotional reality at some point- so it’s crucial to find a way to deal with it for ourselves. Sylvia Walukiewicz shows in her book different ways on how we can better understand our vulnerability and on how we can transform our emotional past into a life of fulfillment in the present and live our true essence more. Don’t let your past destroy your future - start now!
MORE THAN FORTY-FIVE YEARS OF INTENSIVE STUDY and thousands of experiments with people from all walks of life have gone into the creation of what I call Perfect Living. And what is Perfect Living? Perfect Living is a state of absolute self-togetherness, a union of the conscious and subconscious selves for the ultimate good and benefit of your whole person. Though this union of an individual’s two selves has been much written and talked about, little has been accomplished to bring it down to a tangible level. In my own mind-science studies I concentrated on discovering a practical method of uniting the conscious mind and the subconscious, and found a technique through which such a union can be achieved. My technique calls for four easily adopted attitudes and the use of switchwords, a means by which the conscious mind can “talk to” and direct the thought patterns of the subconscious. Through these switchwords the conscious person gains the cooperation of his subconscious self, creating an inner harmony that brings immediate results. For example, how often is your day spoiled by a persistent, nagging pain or headache? Aspirin may bring temporary relief, but it doesn’t get to the cause, and the pain returns. Wouldn’t it be wonderful to be able to utter a single word which would instantly cause all pain to vanish? There is such a word, and Chapter 9 of this book explains in detail how you can make it work for you. Or have you ever lost or misplaced some important or valuable possessions? The more desperately you search for the object, the more it seems to elude you. But with one of the magic switchwords you relax and let your Inner Self bring you to the thing you are searching for. Chapter 8 covers the details on how you can turn on your own finder machinery. These are only two small examples of what Perfect Living and its switchwords can do for you. With Perfect Living you can do anything. You can: 1. Conquer all your fears. 2. Learn to relax. 3. Keep yourself forever young. 4. Overcome despair and “blue” moods. 5. Begin to know yourself. 6. Get along better with other people. 7. Set goals and achieve them. 8. Gain money and new prosperity. 9. Free yourself of bad habits. 10. Achieve glowing health and freedom from pain. 11. Release your hidden abilities. 12. Be a permanently happy person, invulnerable to any upset or setback. But the benefits of Perfect Living are endless and the book itself explains them all to you. Why not put this modern miracle to work now? Make Perfect Living a part of your life!
